Gooseberry ketchup.

A must try for any ketchup lover. This recipe is so simple and so versatile you would be mad not to make it!
Ingredients:
400g gooseberries
100g sugar
50g White vinegar - you can use white wine or apple cider vinegar as well
1 cardomon pod
1/8 tsp nutmeg
3 whole cloves
1 cinnomon stick
1 bay leaf
1tsp salt
Few twists of black pepper
1/8 tsp carraway seeds
1/4tsp celery salt
Start the ketchup recipe by cleaning your gooseberries by taking off any leaves and stalks then rinse them under some cold running water just to remove any dirt or unwanted bugs.
Next simmer all of the ingredients gently in a saucepan for 30 minutes until jam like and very very soft.
Now pass the ketchup through a fine sieve into another container using the back of a spoon to make sure you get as much ketchup as possible. ( If you like it seedy and chunky, skip this step.)
Pour the passed mixture into a bottle or jar and enjoy on all the things you would usually add ketchup to.
Enjoy!
