The Pancake cake!

Everybody loves Pancakes & everybody loves Nutella.

So why not marry the two together seems logical right?

For the pancake batter:

  • 400g plain flour sifted

  • 600g whole milk

  • 100g sugar

  • Seeds from 2 vanilla pods

  • 8 whole eggs

  • 1tbs olive oil

  • 1/4 tsp salt

Shaved chocolate to garnish. I used 72% bitter sweet chocolate. & Nutella lots & lots of Nutella.

  • Start of by making the pancake batter by whisking all the ingredients together. Pass through a fine sieve into a pouring vessel or a clean bowl.

  • Once done let the batter rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. (or even overnight)

  • Heat a non stick crepe pan on a medium heat and grease your pan with a tiny bit of butter or oil just to stop the pancakes from sticking.

  • Laddle or pour some batter evenly into the center of the pan & cook gently until very very lightly golden on both sides.

  • When you have all your pancakes cooked let them cool before you spread them with a thin layer of Nutella. This stops it melting on you.

  • When the pancakes are cool, spread Nutella on each pancake & stack them on top of each other. Shave or grate some chocolate on top & it is ready to eat.Xx 👍enjoy👍
